My favourite hiking hotel in the Dolomites
This special area in Val Gardena is the perfect place for hiking
Hardly anything delights my mind more than a hike through a unique natural landscape. The area around the hiking hotel Cendevaves in Val Gardena is ideal. The wonderfully bizarre, pale mountains – the Dolomites – have fascinated me since the first time I saw them. The high plateau of the Monte Pana is the perfect starting point for hiking, mountain or rock climbing tours in this spectacular mountain world. A seemingly endless variety of tours can be found in the Gruppo del Sella, the Geisler peaks, the Alpi di Siusi and the Sassolungo Group. There are numerous inviting alpine huts and refuges to stop at along the way. Traditional South Tyrolean specialities are extra tasty in front of such an impressive panorama.
As a guest at the Hotel Cendevaves, I can benefit from a wide range of hiking services. For example, I can hire my hiking equipment – backpack, thermos and walking sticks – for free, get valuable tips from the hosts and take part in guided hiking tours organised by the Val Gardena Mountain Guide Association.
